Welcome to Kumari 2.0

By now you've noticed the significant change in appearance and we hope you are impressed! So, firstly we'd like to say that if you have any issues or problems with the new skin to contact us so we can rectify the problem immediately; although, the skin has been tested thoroughly and we have yet to come into problem with it.

Now, down to the nitty gritty. Along with this new skin we have added some interactive play to make your life more efficient, easier and much more pleasant. Again, if there are any issues, please contact one of the Staff immediately.

"Tool Bar."
At the top of your screen you will notice a tool bar. This isn't just a pretty object, it has some important uses -
-using the "search" option will take you to any part of the site that uses the key word you type within that little box. If you cannot find a thread, simply type in a word that corresponds with the title of the thread and it will list a whole bunch of other threads that correspond with that single word.
-At the far right of that bar you will see "Welcome Username... Notifications" now this is a handy little mate you'll use more often than not. It works the same way as Facebook. If some one replies to a thread you've been following (you've joined), you will get a notification. It is a much simpler and efficient way of finding your threads than searching through the site to see if you have a response.
You will also get a notification if you receive a private message or if you are tagged in a topic or a post on the site (More on this later).
-just beside the notifications you will see a small arrow. Clicking this will retract the tool bar, hiding it from view; clicking it again will bring it back. Handy if it is getting in the way.

"Dictionary"
Ever see a word in the site and wonder what the hell it means? Well, wonder know more! Simply double click the word and a definition will appear in a little blue box of magic and rainbows.

"Hash tags / Tagging"
# - This is a handy feature. Now you can use the #Hashtag function on Kumari!!! Not only will this make words more visible but it works in conjunction with that little search bar we spoke about earlier. That's right, put a key word into the search bar and all those threads containing words with hash tags that correspond with your searched word will appear.
@ - No longer will your tagged posts get lost in the loop. If you want to notify someone that they're required in a thread simply use the "@User_name" function and they will receive a notification that you've tagged them in "this" thread.
Please note:
- If you have a username with a space or special characters, you must add " " After the @ and at the end of the name ( See Example Code Below )

"Control Panel"
On the left side of the forum you will notice the moveable bar of 'Widgets'. There is one named "Control Panel", from here you will be automatically taken to your profile by clicking the certain button. So you will no longer have to click through pages upon pages to change your avatar, or change your signature. Instead, everything is just a simple one click away!
